I worked in a number of capacities at Cal Performances connecting students with performances on their campus, including in Front of House (where I directed staff and volunteer ushers to make sure patrons' front of house experience was as smooth as possible), Public Relations (writing press releases, pitching stories, and making press kits), Student marketing Committee (designing content for social media, email, and print, as well as outlining social strategy), and tour management (coordinating between UC Berkeley Music department, Executives at Cal Performances, and The Philharmonia Orchestra).

WOZZECK

Cal Performances regularly champions educational opportunities for members of the UC Berkeley musical community. I had the opportunity to help execute one of those opportunities around the Philharmonia Orchestra’s residency with Esa-Pekka Salonen.

After a week of residency activities, members of the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Chorus joined the Philharmonic Orchestra’s performance of Berg’s Wozzeck at Cal Performances. Following, I managed logistics for a subsequent tour in LA and New York City.

I led all logistics for the 50+ participants traveling down to LA. The subsequent performance was at  the Walt Disney Concert Hall as a part of the LA Philarhominc’s season.

After rave reviews, the UC Chamber Chorus then returned to Berkeley, and the members of the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra and I flew to New York for a performance at Avery Fisher Hall (now David Geffen Hall).

At the conclusion of the tour, I created a commemorative report chronicling the experience for participants that was then distributed to donors who made the tour possible.
